Minimizing and Avoiding Power Struggles

  • Practice staying present in the moment; remember what you’re trying to do.
  • Practice being your authentic self.
  • Pay attention to your feelings (beneath your emotions).
  • Listen actively.
  • Focus on how you want to be.  “How would the me-I-want-to-be handle this?”
  • Tell the truth as you know it.
  • Let go of attachment to only one outcome
  • Practice goal setting and affirmation tempered by acceptance and intuition.

  •  After practicing a while, we stop seeking energy from others
    and begin to nourish ourselves from within.
